Install Actorly, approve the permissions it asks for and choose a plan on Shopify's billing page. It starts recording straight away, there is nothing to set up and nothing is added to your storefront. ## Set up in five steps. 1 **Install Actorly.** Approve the permissions it asks for. Actorly is already watching your store from the moment it is installed. 2 **Choose a plan.** On Shopify's billing page, pick Actorly Watch ($0, free with no trial and no countdown) or Actorly Restore ($29 a month or $240 a year). You can change it later in your Shopify admin. 3 **Let the first import finish.** Overview says Actorly is still building your store history and lists what is still importing. Counts for those parts are incomplete until it finishes. 4 **Keep working as usual.** Your team edits in Shopify the normal way. Actorly records it in the background. 5 **Open Changes.** The changes Shopify reports appear in Changes, each with the value before and after, when it happened and who made it if Shopify reports it. ## What Actorly reads first. Actorly takes a first look at the current value of the products, collections, inventory, discounts, shipping, markets, locations, themes and store settings it tracks, and of the pages, menus, files and other kinds it checks on a schedule. This is your starting point. Customers, orders, fulfillments, draft orders and selling plans are recorded only from their first change after you install. Pages, blogs, articles, menus, URL redirects, price lists, policies and files are re-read on a schedule, because Shopify sends no change notice for them: weekly on Watch, daily on Restore. A change to one of those appears at the next check. Actorly cannot show the old and new values of a change made before you installed it. Shopify does not keep them. ## Where things are in the app. **Overview** The last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days of changes, who is making them, and what needs a look. **Changes** Every recorded change with the value before and after, and a Deleted tab. **Data room** Everything Actorly holds, one page per kind of record, and the export. **Recovery jobs** Every restore Actorly has run and how each one ended. **Coverage** What Actorly tracks, and how quickly. ## Questions. ### Do I need to set anything up? No. Actorly started recording the moment it was installed, and there is nothing here to set up. You only choose a plan. ### Can Actorly show what changed before I installed it? Actorly cannot show the old and new values of a change made before you installed it. Shopify does not keep them. ### Is there a free trial? No. Actorly Watch is free, with no trial and no countdown.
